The Bed and Breakfasts of Anchorage

Around the 1980’s the bed and breakfast idea started to really get noticed. The reason that it was starting to be noticed more was because people traveling wanted a nice place for them to stay that. At the time an average hotel just couldn’t compete with the service that someone who lived at the residence could provide. Also, the owners of bed and breakfasts wanted the guest to have the best experience they could possibly have.

In Anchorage, the bed and breakfasts still have the same qualities that they had when the idea first began.

Here is a list of some of the best bed and breakfasts in Anchorage.

The Awesome Retreat is one of the closer bed and breakfasts to the Anchorage International Airport. Every single room at this bed and breakfast has at least a king size bed in it. They also have satellite T.V., wireless internet, and even deck chairs. You get all that and more for $169 in the summer and $85 in the winter.

The 15 Chandeliers has some very nice chandeliers hung up everywhere, which must be why their name is 15 Chandeliers. It is 15 minutes from the airport. They serve a great breakfast that has everything from cereal to muffins. They also have a variety of rooms. Here a couple of them

King George room

The King George room has a deluxe queen. These rooms are on the second and third floors. The higher floor is good because you will not hear the people walking around in their rooms.

Captain room

The Captain room has a queen bed in it and the room itself is located on the third floor. Great if you don’t want to hear other guests.

The last bed and breakfast that we will talk about is the Alaska Mangy Moose. This bed and breakfast is located in a birch forest 15 minutes away from the airport. While having very pleasant surroundings, they also offer a very beautiful interior. Inside the Alaska Mangy Moose there is wood and tile flooring, granite counters, and even a big room that has a gas and wood fireplace.

Also, they have a huge deck and a hot tub that allows you to sit relax and enjoy the view of Alaska.

If you are planning a visit to Anchorage, try going to one of the bed and breakfasts that are listed. These bed and breakfasts may turn out to be extremely enjoyable for you and your family, much more enjoyable than an ordinary hotel.
